Consortium Management Committee

Mandate
The Consortium Management Committee ensures the development, use and sustainability of the infrastructure. This committee will:

  • Receive updates on the progress of the platform as a whole
  • Oversee Partnership and Sustainability Committee and receive updates on partnerships as necessary from the Chair of the Partnerships and Sustainability committee (starting in year 2)
  • Oversee Scientific Advisory Committee and receive updates on scientific needs as necessary from the Chair of the Scientific Advisory Committee Oversee Research Data Infrastructure Operations Committee and receive updates on scientific needs as necessary from the Chair of the Scientific Advisory Committee
  • Get updates on scientific needs and opportunities (Chair of Scientific Advisory Committee)
  • Review financial summary (prepared by Platform Manager)

Research Data Infrastructure Operations

Mandate
The Research Data Infrastructure Operations Committee’s primary mandate is to monitor the development of the research data infrastructure to ensure it meets the ongoing needs of the research questions. This is executed by:

  • Reviewing the progress and direction of the platform’s development
  • Receive updates on the progress of the platform as a whole
  • Communicate regularly with Scientific Advisory Committee
  • Advise the Consortium Management Committee on development of the platform to meet the needs of the research questions

Scientific Advisory Committee

Mandate
To ensure the platform is used for cutting edge research. This committee will:

  • Ensure monitoring and reporting of science executed using the MERIDIAN platform
  • Seek out and support scientific funding applications to increase the use of the Meridian platform
  • Foster use of the platform
  • Report to the Consortium Management Committee via the Scientific Advisory Committee Chair
  • Advise the Research Data Infrastructure Operations Committee of any arising or unmet scientific needs appropriate for the Meridian Platform
  • Foster integration and interaction with relevant partners, both nationally and internationally
  • Encourage interaction both within and between Meridian users and partners
