La gestion de (m\u00e9ta)donn\u00e9es comprend des activit\u00e9s et des processus permettant de mieux g\u00e9rer les (m\u00e9ta)donn\u00e9es \u00e0 chaque \u00e9tape de leur cycle de vie en tant qu'atouts institutionnels ou organisationnels. MERIDIAN adh\u00e8re aux principes de FAIR - \u0153uvrant pour des (m\u00e9ta)donn\u00e9es Trouvables, Accessibles, Interop\u00e9rables et R\u00e9utilisables - dans nos projets de gestion des donn\u00e9es et nos meilleures pratiques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are several aspects to our work in this area: We are developing metadata standards<\/em> for underwater acoustic and vessel tracking data to provide best practices for researchers in the field. We have implemented the MERIDIAN Portail de d\u00e9couverte<\/em> where researchers can locate available discipline-specific data from Canadian sources, and an interactive metadata submission form that supports individual researchers and small-scale groups to describe their own data so others can find it. Along similar veins, we have also built FishSounds<\/em>, a portal where marine bioacousticians can find information about all the fish species known to make sounds. We also facilitate access to a rich set of satellite vessel-tracking data (S-AIS)<\/em> for researchers to use. Finally, we are also engaged in the CetaSound<\/em> project and are contributing to the CIOOS\/SIOOC Metadata Working Group<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
