This week, MERIDIAN is saying farewell to Senior Data Manager, Dr. Ines Hessler, who has accepted a new position as Chief Technology Officer at ACENET, the east coast Compute Canada node. Ines was instrumental in getting MERIDIAN off the ground 2.5 years ago and shaping the project into what it is today. We thank Ines for her never failing commitment to the project and wish her all the best in her new position at ACENET. Luckily for us, Ines will remain based at the Faculty of Computer Science at Dalhousie University, working closely together with the MERIDIAN team. Senior Staff Scientist, Dr. Oliver Kirsebom, and Senior Data Manager, Casey Hilliard, are stepping in to fill the void left by Ines’ departure, with Oliver taking over leadership of the Dalhousie team while Casey will be in charge of the team’s data management activities.
