On behalf of the MERIDIAN, Dr. Oliver Kirsebom was honoured with an invite to the upcoming CAN BON workshop, which is being organised by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC), Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO), Parks Canada (PC), and the Canadian Space Agency (CSA).
The objective of the workshop is to examine the possibility and benefits of setting up a Canadian Biodiversity Observation Network (CAN BON) to improve Canada’s capacity to research, survey, and monitor biodiversity, natural resources, and ecosystem services in manners that will better inform management and conservation.
